The Fallen Leaves
Islamabad has been particularly sparkling the past week. With nice puffy clouds floating above the hills like mushroom outgrowth on rotten broccoli, and the intermittent spells of refreshing rain, everything seems so surreal. It is so surreal that one would want to spend the rest of the day sleeping at home, or watching the clouds float away, or sit back in your comfy couch in front of the ...
Creating delicious memories….
It all started with my interest in trying out different breads from various places.
The breads led to trying out cupcakes, donuts and other pastries. Who can resist cupcakes?
Garam Roti
I was compelled to look up Islamabad’s weather on weather.com this morning after the unpleasant episode of excessive perspiration that transpired last night. It says that there would be some thunderstorms later today and tomorrow, and that the temperature is 91° but it feels like 104°. There was some rain very early in the morning today, too bad it hasn’t done much about the stickiness, but I ...

The World Music Day Concert by Cityfm89 and what followed…
The National Library auditorium in Islamabad was the venue for the “World Music Day Concert” organized by CityFm89. What follows is a review of how things shaped up and should have shaped up but didn’t shape up due to certain psychotic fiasco’s on part of the people managing and the people playing. First things first, as one of the performers “Zujj” correctly pointed out before the show even ...
A nice new place for a stroll with Molly

what a mindjob…
A couple of days ago, I went to check out the ‘new’ Lakeview park (again). A gentleman approached the lady behind the counter and inquired about the piece of cloth of waving above the gates. She did not understand, so he asked if that is the Pakistani flag. He was quite hurt, and then went off mumbling something the state of the cloth the flag was made of. So I backed off and raised my vision ...
Rehman Malik on Twitter – Is it a news worth reporting???
Across the world politicians use popular social networking sites such as facebook and twitter not only to mobilize people (particularly younger generation) but also to win their hearts and minds. It is very much normal considering the information and communication revolution and the advent of technology. Nevertheless, why is it such a surprise if Pakistani politicians, following footprints of ...
