Nokia 1280 – The Most Inexpensive Ever
Today , I went to see my friends at Nokia after a long time and man they had a surprise for me , not one but three prototype devices for emerging markets . I couldn’t take snaps of them but still could talk about the one I loved the most , the Nokia 1280 , believed to be the most inexpensive Nokia ever.
Nokia 1661 – Phone for Emerging Markets
It took the crown from all the Flagships , N-Series , X Series , C Series , E Series and all other phones Nokia has to offer .
It got no Camera , neither it can use any of the OVI Services and even it’s not Internet accessible let alone letting people access their OVI Mail on it .
There is no App Store present for it , neither further software can be added .
Nokia’s commitment to Emerging Markets
While at the CES 2010 show at Las Vegas , companies were showing their mightiest and greatest , a mighty great company’s CEO was showing their bottom line device at his Key Note address .
It was Nokia’s CEO Mr Olli Pekka showing Nokia 1661 a $32.00 phone meant for emerging markets .
Mobile Growth Reviving in Emerging Markets
The worst effects of the global recession may be over for mobile communications in emerging markets. Second quarter results from major operators in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe show modest growth in subscriptions and usage, according to a recent report from Strategy Analytics.
